LV14 is a unique Light Vessel, a floating lighthouse, formerly named SPURN.
LV14 was built in 1958. The ship was the last manned Light Vessel built and designed to a remarkably high specification for the North Sea.
LV14 defining feature is the light tower. Preserved at the top of the tower is one of only two remaining Fresnel lenses in the world to be installed on Light Vessels and is in full working order. LV14 also features a diaphone foghorn, unique in the UK. It is located aver the wheelhouse and operated by compressed air.

The Humber Suite is suitable for up to 4 adults from the same family group or social bubble. It comprises of lounge, dining area and kitchenette, with a staircase down to a King Bedroom (called The ’59 Room - when the lightship went into service), and a Double Bedroom (called The ’85 Room - when the lightship was withdrawn from service). There is also a large shower room. Externally, a companionway (steep) staircase leads to a sun deck with table and reclining chairs.
