The Tourism and Destination Marketing Team are responsible for the marketing and promotion of Gloucester. They own and manage the Visit Gloucester, Meet Gloucester and the Film Gloucester websites as well as their associated social media sites.
The team undertake a range of marketing campaigns aimed to attract visitors, new businesses, and investment into the city. They work to an annual marketing plan which is signed off by Cabinet at the beginning of the year.
They work closely with other departments including Economic Development to support the case for attracting business to the city. The team provide support to the visitor economy businesses in the city offering the latest business advice as well as providing them with up-to-date information on the latest visitor research on the city, region, and the UK from various research sources.
Meet the Team
- Jack Fayter – Tourism and Destination Marketing Manager
Jack is responsible for leading Gloucester's Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO), Visit Gloucester. He oversees the direction of the DMO, helps co-ordinate city-wide campaigns, makes the case for inward investment, and advocates for the visitor economy. He also oversees the teams that market the rest of Gloucester City Council's culture portfolio, including Gloucester Guildhall, Blackfriars Priory, the Museum of Gloucester and City Festivals & Events.
- Zoe Larder – Tourism and Destination Senior Marketing Officer
Zoe supports Jack in all areas of tourism marketing, from running seasonal campaigns, promoting our Festivals and Events, and managing our partnership programs. She likes to ensure that our marketing is both original and creative, to ensure it is relevant to our audiences.
- Emma Carpenter – Tourism and Destination Digital Marketing Officer
Emma's role is all things digital, from updating the Visit Gloucester Website, through to managing all of the content across our social platforms. She is a whizz at all things TikTok, with some of her posts about the city going viral.
