Roots & Seeds

About

Opening 8 April!

Roots + Seeds Café & Kitchen joined Gloucester Food Dock in the Spring of 2025, serving up brasserie-style menus of modern British dishes with French techniques.

Co-founders Toby Baggott and Sam Lawson-King are passionate about using fresh, locally sourced produce, from home-grown veggies and herbs picked daily from its kitchen garden and new ‘No Dig’ Market Garden to locally reared beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game from the Bathurst Estate, as well as locally foraged seasonal ingredients.

Expect generous and regularly changing all-day menus, including classic brunch options, sandwiches and salads, more substantial dishes such as burgers and pasta dishes, and a ‘specials board’ of delicious ‘Field to Fork’ dishes dictated by the seasons. Next to their signature green counter, there is also a selection of ‘grab and go’ takeaway options made to order from the kitchen.

You'll find Roots + Seeds on The Quayside of Gloucester Food Dock, with outdoor seating that looks out across the glorious Gloucester Docks.
