About

The Kings Theatre is run by and for the people of Gloucester as a venue for amateur theatre, dance and music. Run entirely by volunteers, it is a unique and valuable asset to the city's cultural life. Seating 144, it is home to several local groups, staging a full season of entertainment from September to June.
Tucked just off Eastgate Street, close to the heart of Gloucester City Centre is this little gem of a theatre run by volunteers. The theatre is flexible with accessibility requirements and are happy to help arrange and organise your visit as smoothly as possibe.

Guide Prices

The Kings Theatre holds many events throughout the year. Some events are controlled by different organisers. Please be aware that tickets sales may be directly through the organiser or through Gloucester Tourist Information Centre.

Accessibility

  • All Areas Accessible to Disabled Visitors - There is no accessible toilet facility at current.
  • Facilities for Hearing Impaired Visitors - An induction loop supports patrons with hearing aids. Switch your aid to T or MT to make use of the loop.
  • Guide Dogs Permitted
  • Ramp/Level Access - At the main door there is a one small step to get in, however wheelchairs uses are welcome to use the fire exit side door, which will provide level access into the Theatre.
