A Christmas Carol

About

✨COME AND SEE A CHRISTMAS CAROL AT THE FINAL RESTING PLACE OF THE ORIGINAL SCROOGE✨
St Mary de Crypt is famed for being the burial place of James 'Jemmy' Wood. A man so famed for his tightfisted ways it earned him the title 'The Gloucester Miser'. So miserly was his behaviour that Mr Wood became a key inspiration for Charles Dickens' character Ebenezer Scrooge!
So, why not come and join us at St Mary De Crypt, alongside Mr Wood, for Charles Dickens classic cautionary tale about greed, fairness, and supporting your fellow man? - Especially at a time where want is keenly felt and abundance rejoices!
Join us for THE most beloved piece of Christmas literature, brought to life on stage with acting, song, puppetry and more!

Poverty is everywhere in Victorian London but one man stalks through the frozen streets unaffected. More than that, taking advantage of the suffering of his fellow man.
Ebeneezer Scrooge has no time for family, friends or charity as the miser grows rich and evermore alone. But death stalks Scrooge's steps as the ghost of his former partner warns him of his fate and more ghosts to come. The apparitions show Scrooge his past, the present reality of his friends and family, and the potential future which holds more death and destruction, all in an attempt to show him the true meaning of Christmas
