​The idea is to come together to play songs that connect us to people we have loved and lost, songs for political grief, music for any kind of loss or change. We're bringing people together through movement, reimagining folk traditions and rituals, and using movement to process emotions.

Annie Frost Nicholson and co have curated Grief Raves as part of the Fandangoe Skip installations in London and NYC. Annie and The Loss Project have been working with our GAS Young Creatives to bring this unique experience to us.

And now it's coming to Gloucester!

Do I need to book?
No! Booking isn't essential, but it gives you a chance to request a tune and give us a message to read out.

Can I request a tune?
We'd love for you to request a tune, and you can tell us what the tune means to you (if you want to). We can even read a message out for you if you'd like! You can add this to the form when you book your tickets.

When should I rock up?
Join us between 2pm and 4pm, turn up and stay as long as you like.

GRIEF RAVE is part of the Folk Trail 2025 - reimagining grief with folk.

The Gloucester Folk Trail is an annual celebration of traditional folk music, dance, and arts, set to take place from February 14th to 16th 2025, in Gloucester.
