Iconic 124 year old schooner, Kathleen & May, the last British built wooden hull, three masted top-sail schooner left afloat in the world is open to the public on Saturday, 24 August 2024 from 11am till 5pm. Step aboard for self-guided tours with storyboards on the top deck, take a seat in the Captain's Cabin and imagine life at sea, try out the Crew Bunks for size, step into the cargo hold, browse through her cargo records and listen to her stories of past, present and plans for her future. Throughout your visit, kids can roam the decks, try out the ship's wheel and solve the clues to find the treasure. With knowledgeable volunteers ready to welcome you aboard. Located in Gloucester's Historic Docks under maintenance, just a short walk away from Gloucester's National Waterways Museum. An unforgettable experience.
