The Tara Restaurant at Hatton Court Hotel

Just slightly outside Gloucester you can find the exquisite Hatton Court Hotel. Set in beautiful grounds the Hatton Court Hotel offers the full luxurious Cotswold country house experience. Afternoon tea is served daily between 2pm and 5pm. Prices start at £45 for two which includes a bottle of prosecco. 

Lily’s

Lily’s is set in the medieval heart of Gloucester right next to Gloucester Cathedral. It is celebrated for its fine cakes and scones and charming interior. It’s a great choice for larger groups especially hen parties as it offers a private dining room. Afternoon tea is served daily from 2pm on weekday and 2:30pm on weekends.

The Monk’s Kitchen at Gloucester Cathedral

For a more casual afternoon tea experience head over to the Cathedral. Nestled amongst the imposing stone architecture of Gloucester Cathedral is the Monk’s Kitchen café. The perfect retreat from sightseeing in the city the Monk’s Kitchen offers freshly made sandwiches and scones baked from scratch. Prices start from £10.50 per person.

Mercure Bowden Hall

Just outside the city in the village of Upton St Leonards you’ll find the Art Deco Bowden Hall Hotel set in its own beautiful grounds. Enjoy afternoon tea in the lakeside dining room with a classic selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Prices start from £15 per person and includes a glass of prosecco.
