CraftArteers is the Gloucester-based brainchild of Brian Lehaney and Ryan Miessner. The pair are at home in the Docks, having lived and worked there for a combined total of around twenty-five years.
They create Gloucester-themed handmade art and craft items, including drawings paintings, greetings cards, clay ornaments, resin pendants, tote bags and a variety of other lovely products.
Having survived the lockdowns, tiers and other Covid issues of the past eighteen months or so, they are now proud suppliers to the Museum of Gloucester.
The CraftArteers work in a range of mediums and materials, including pencil, watercolours, acrylics, resin, clay, paper, cloth and leather. In addition to this, they offer a bespoke service to clients looking for something unique.
Both Ryan and Brian may be seen in and around the Docks and Quays, enjoying the local life and scenery. Ryan was born in Gloucestershire and has lived in Gloucester for many years. He is a huge fan of Bob Ross, the former TV artist. He blends contemporary and abstract styles, often creating unique pieces. Ryan may be seen at the Cherry and Reds from time to time, enjoying a Gloucester Brewery pint (from time to time). Brian's background is very mixed, having left school at the age of 15, served in the British Army, and eventually becoming a university professor in business and management. He now tends to focus on external liaison. He knows exactly how Tottenham Hotspur should play, and has often said so, whilst watching a match, eating a pizza and drinking cider.
