Hands on History - Living History at the Museum of Gloucester

2 July

Inspired by the recent discovery of an Iron Age settlement within metres of Greyfriars Green, come along and join the Museum for a day packed full of Bushcraft, Living History, and Reconstructive Archaeology.

Queen's Baton Relay Coming to Gloucester

5 July

Gloucester is set to welcome the symbol of the Commonwealth Games, The Queen's Baton. It will arrive at Gloucester Docks by boat, before making its way up Southgate Street to the Cross. It will then be carried up Westgate Street through the Cathedral Grounds before being carried to Kings Square for an exciting event, with live music from The Music Works. The baton bearers are local to Gloucester!

Gloucester Quays Food Festival

23 July to 24 July

The most popular food festival in the South West is back to cook up a storm at the Quays. There will be apprearances from Alex Hollywood, Joe Hurd, Eddie Scott, Jean Christophe Novelli, Chef Philli, and Matt Pritchard. 

Seasick Steve at LLanthony Secunda Priory

24 July

Blues Rock musician Seasick Steve will perform at Llanthony Secunda Priory on Sunday 24 July 2022. The appearance forms part of Gloucester Guildhall's Live at Llanthony series.

Historic Gloucester... In Lego!

25 July 31 July

Do you like history? Do you like Lego? Come and see the wonderful historic Lego models on display at the Folk of Gloucester between Monday the 25th and Sunday the 31st of July.

There are three huge models to view, showing historic parts of Gloucester which have long since been lost to time including Medieval Westgate Street, The Roman Forum, and a bridge hidden beneath Gloucester. 

Glouceser Rhythm & Blues Festival

Gloucester Rhythm & Blues Festival is an annual multi-venue blues music festival. Giving 5 days of rhythm and blues which will see a multitude of gigs take to the stage at various venues.

Titanic Honour & Glory Exhibition

01 July to 31 July

This incredible exhibition at the Museum of Gloucester, explores the legacy of the world’s most famous ship, revealing the unforgettable story of the tragic liner. From her conception to her premature demise 110 years ago in 1912, the exhibition brings to life the history of the legendary ocean liner and includes genuine artefacts from the Titanic, her sister ships, owners the White Star Line, plus memorabilia from the 1997 James Cameron movie.
