Here are some things to do in Gloucester during the Summer Holidays.

Serenity in the City

All Summer

Serenity in the city invites you to explore the city at a slower pace and take a moment to appreciate its history and heritage. Why not go for Mindfulness Walk around the Docks, imagine yourself in Roman Britain at Eastgate Chamber or enjoy some poetry inspired by Gloucester's ancient priories.

Rainbow Trail

13 to 31 August

As part of Serenity in the City - explore Gloucester through colour this summer. From 13 August, families can explore the city and collect the colours of a rainbow. Take your completed card to Customer Service at Gloucester Quays to claim your reward.

Luminarium

12 to 21 August

We are thrilled to announce that King's Square will be hosting the Arboria II from the 12 - 21 August. Luminarium is a sculpture you enter for an encounter with light. This immersive art installation has been likened to a labyrinth. Walking through will awaken all of the senses, creating a sense of wonder and enchantment for all ages.

Titanic Honour and Glory Exhibition

Until 29 September

Head to the Museum of Gloucester to explore the legacy of the world’s most famous ship, Titanic, at their summer exhibition: Titanic Honour and Glory. Discover genuine artefacts from Titanic, as well as props from the movie. While you’re there, it’s also well worth exploring the rest of the museum which is full of interactive exhibits, including a Roman playhouse, and a medieval street.

Pick Your Own Fruit

All Summer

Pick your own strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries at Over Farm! While you’re there, keep an eye out for the golden strawberry for a chance to win a prize!

Big Summer Blowout

All Summer

Head to Over Farm’s Countryside Adventure to meet the animals, explore their new adventure play areas, take a ride on a tractor, play a round of mini golf, and more! Plus, every day over the summer, Over Farm will be hosting a different entertainer for you to enjoy.

Art Classes

15 to 19 August

Aimed at 7–15-year-olds who would like to spend more time doing art than their school curriculum allows, Mad About Art’s art classes will provide insights into drawing and sculpting.

Noah's Ark Family Trail

All Summer

Explore Gloucester Cathedral, discovering the animals who are hidden in the stained glass, architecture, and stone masonry.

Outdoor Theatre at Llanthony Secunda Priory

17 August

Enjoy a performance of War of the Worlds by The Pantaloons, who will recreate the story using musical instruments, puppetry, and enthusiasm!
