All Summer
Serenity in the city invites you to explore the city at a slower pace and take a moment to appreciate its history and heritage. Why not go for Mindfulness Walk around the Docks, imagine yourself in Roman Britain at Eastgate Chamber or enjoy some poetry inspired by Gloucester's ancient priories.
Rainbow Trail
13 August to 31 August
As part of Serenity in the City - explore Gloucester through colour this summer. From 12 August, families can explore the city and collect the colours of a rainbow. Take your completed card to Customer Service at Gloucester Quays to claim your reward.
Luminarium - Arboria II by Architects of Air
12 August to 21 August
We are thrilled to announce that King's Square will be hosting the Arboria II from the 12 - 21 August. Luminarium is a sculpture you enter for an encounter with light. This immersive art installation has been likened to a labyrinth. Walking through will awaken all of the senses, creating a sense of wonder and enchantment for all ages.
Strongman Champions League
20 August
The Strongman Champions League is the premiere and largest international Strongman competition.The SCL series is a complete series of 16 competitions, played out all over the world and now in Gloucester! The very best champions and referees in the world guarantee a great battle in Strongman sport.
Gloucester Goes Retro
27 August
Gloucester Goes Retro is back for 2022 with more vehicles, music, dance, and entertainment! Gloucester's feel-good festival promises to be better than ever with street entertainment and a new 90s zone in Kings Square. And also new for 2022 - Retro on the Water! This summer's event is taking to the water. There will be highly decorated boats adorning the docks this year. Do you have a boat? Best dressed boat wins a prize!
