From The Knife Angel to the world's longest running photography exhibition, February brings a range of events and activities to Gloucester. Here are some of the highlights!

The Knife Angel
All Month
The National Monument for Serious Violence and Aggression, The Knife Angel, will be visiting Gloucester for the month of February as part of its national Anti-Violence tour. The Angel is a beautiful memorial designed to celebrate lives lost to acts of serious violence.
Hundred Heroines will also be running a photography competition to coincide with the arrival of The Knife Angel. Photograph the monument, and see your work featured in the Eastgate Centre and be in with a chance to win a prize!
From the 20 to 26 February, to go along with the Knife Angel in Gloucester, Run or Walk 5K in memory of Ramarni Crosby (#RunForRamarni).
Knife Rose
All Month
The Knife Rose by internationally acclaimed artist Renate Bertlmann will be unveiled at Hundred Heroines, to coincide with the arrival of The Knife Angel.
It will be unveiled at their location in Eastgate Shopping Centre and will be on display throughout the month of February as part of their participation in the city's anti-violence campaign.
The RPS International Photography Exhibiton | IPE 163
28 Jan - 4 June
The Museum of Gloucester is once again working with the Royal Photographic Society to bring their renowned International Photography Exhibition 163 to Gloucester in 2023. It is the world's longest running photography exhibition, showcasing a total of 105 works by 65 photographers.
Gloucester Folk Trail
17 - 19 February

Come and enjoy the Gloucester Folk Trail on the 17-19 February. Gloucester’s folk-tastic event returns with new venues and workshops. The City will become a vibrant hub of live music with over 40 acts, 13 venues, and on the Saturday, 10 Morris dance groups will take to the gate streets to entertain you!
Bright Nights - Light Games
17-18 February
The Redwell Centre in Matson, will be transformed into a technicolour arena! Challenge your mates or bring your family along and play everything from retro Snake to neon mini-golf, rounded off with toasted marshmallows around the fire pits.
Charles Wheatstone Day
6 February
On February 6, celebrate Charles Wheatstone, who was born in Barnwood 221 years ago, with the Museum of Gloucester. They are holding three events: Celebrate Charles Wheatstone in Glorious 3D, Wonder Working Wire, and How to Make 3D Photos Workshop!
The Orchard Street Food & Craft Markets
4-5 February
The Orchard Street Food & Craft Market is back! Located at the stunning Gloucester Quays, the market offers a great mix of delicious, locally sourced food and drink, artisan arts and crafts, jewellery, homeware, plants and seasonal goods, plus amazing streetfood and bars.
What's Your Game
4-5 February
What's Your Game is happening at Blackfriars Priory!
It is a destination event for Gamers of all sorts and all ages. It doesn't matter if you enjoy LARP, Cosplay, Re-enaction, Steampunk, Fantasy, Wargame, table-top, RPG, or board games, there will be something for everyone.
Dick Whittington
23-25 February
The Barnwood Amateur Dramatics Company presents Dick Whittington. This pantomime tells the story of Dick Whittington. who travels to London with his faithful cat in search of his fame and fortune! Come and watch the story unfold with the fabulous BADCo cast giving you lots of laughs and plenty of song and dance routines along the way.
