Dorothy Wilding: 130 Photographs Opening Night
08 March
Hundred Heroines are launching a new, major exhibition to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Dorothy Wilding – Gloucester's pioneering photographer. The exhibition comprises of Dorothy's iconic portraits reprinted in a large, contemporary style alongside smaller original prints and ephemera, including books, magazines, coins and stamps featuring Dorothy's work.
Public Premier of Jillian Edelstein's The Water Rats
08 March
In collaboration with Gloucester Guildhall, Hundred Heroines will be premiering the documentary short film 'The Water Rats' by Jillian Edelstein. The Water Rats is a group of Londoners, of different age groups, backgrounds and ethnicities, who “found one another while swimming clandestinely in wild waters” during the 2020 lockdown.
Creating a Fashion Story

Join Alice from the Art Shape for a free workshop where you will explore sets, costumes, themes and current trends, as well as local history, and how we can use this in contemporary fashion! At the Folk of Gloucester!
Montgomery Bonbon Trail
Until 31 March
Go undercover and test your detective skills at the Museum of Gloucester as part of the national Montgomery Bonbon: Museum Mystery Trail, organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books.
