What's On in April in Gloucester?

From the Gloucester History Festival, through to photography workshops, there are lots of exciting things happening in Gloucester this month! Below are some of the highlights!

Gloucester History Festival

21-23 April

On the 21-23 April, over 20 of Britain's top historians gather in the magical setting of Blackfriars Priory, for three days of inspiring events as part of the Gloucester History Festival Spring Weekend. Tickets are booking up fast so don't miss out!

Museum of Gloucester Tours

Multiple Dates

Take a behind the scenes tour on 8 April for a unique view of the museum galleries and storage. You will also be shown many of the collection highlights! Or on the 12 April, head down into the Eastgate Chamber and learn about how and why the original City walls were built!

Earth Day: Falconry and Family Fun

22 April

Go and join the Nature in Art museum as they celebrate Earth Day. Throughout the day, there will be fun activities to get involved with, from making insect hotels to feathery bird masks, and much more! JRCS Falconry will be joining them to show a magnificent selection of Birds of Prey. There will be short talks throughout the day and the opportunity to get close to these impressive birds.

Gloucester Mind Body and Spirit Show

29 to 30 April

The Gloucester Mind Body Spirit Show is bigger and better than ever. Organised by Deer Spirit Events, it's now a 2-day event, at Blackfriars in the city centre, Gloucester's top events venue.

Hundred Heroines: Photography Workshop

29 to 30 April

Visit the RPS IPE 163 Exhibition looking at the award winning portraiture, then head to the Hundred Heroines Headquarters to look at how to work with your sitter, how to reflect their personality and how to get the best composition and lighting.
