We are only a few days into July, and there has already been lots of excitement here in Gloucester! The month started with a visit from Farrah the Fox, who came to the city as part of Historic England's Hi! Street Fest, a fantastic celebration of our High Streets! Billy Bragg, Live at Llanthony
21 JulySinger-Songwriter and activist Billy Bragg, who recently performed at the world famous Glastonbury Music Festival, will perform at Llanthony Secunda Priory on Friday 21 July 2023. The appearance forms part of Gloucester Guildhall’s Live at Llanthony series. Billy Bragg has been making waves as a fearless recording artist, tireless live performer and peerless political campaigner for over 35 years, he is regarded a valuable statesman and activist.

Gloucester Quays Food Festival
22-23 JulyThe most popular food festival in the South West is back to cook up a storm at the historic docks on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July! If you love cooking or simply watching talented TV chefs show you how it's done - this is 'must save' date for your diary!
In an open-air Cookery Theatre in Mariners Square, hosted on both days by chef, TV presenter and author Chris Bavin, live cookery sessions will feature a mouth-watering line up of celebrity chefs including Levi Roots, Crystelle Pereira, Cherish Finden, and Great Bristish Bake Off Contestants Sandro Farmhouse (2022), Janusz Domagala (2022), and Freya Cook (2021)!
Gloucester Rhythm & Blues Festival
21-30 JulyMusic-lovers in Gloucestershire are in luck that the Gloucester Rhythm & Blues Festival is returning to the city in 2023! A multitude of gigs take to the stage at various venues across the city, with the full line up to be announced soon!
Three Choirs Festival
22-29 JulyThis 8-day festival showcases rich and varied musical traditions from across the centuries and the world. From the evening offering in the Cathedral to the family programme, there is something for every music lover. The Festival Village will host free performances on the community bandstand and there will also be free rehearsals in the Cathedral, to dip in and out of at your leisure!

- Gloucester Festival of Archaeology. Includes lego workshops and talks with Andrew Armstrong!
- May The Toys Be With You. A new exhibition on display at the Museum of Gloucester
- The Hand That Cared. A new scultpture on display at the Cathedral to honour the life of Gloucestershire based NHS nurse Fannie Storr.
- NHS 75 Community Art Exhibit. An exhibition on display in the Cathedral that features inspiring, moving and uplifting artwork that has been created as part of sessions designed to boost mental and physical wellbeing.
