Gloucester Goes Retro
Saturday 26 August
Gloucester Goes Retro will be driving into the city on Saturday 26 August. One of the highlights of the city’s vibrant festival calendar, Gloucester Goes Retro features over 500 classic vehicles filling the historic Gate Streets and Gloucester Docks, live music and dancing, re-enactors and stalls. You are even welcome to dress up for the occasion!
All are welcome to enjoy this fantastic FREE event, with something for all generations to enjoy!

The new exhibit at the Museum of Gloucester features one of the UK's finest collections of vintage Star Wars toys and original cinema posters! May The Toys Be With You is both a celebration of the now highly collectable vintage toy line and also of the iconic design work and art of the Star Wars movies. Already hugely popular, we recommend booking your tickets in advance!
Let's Climb in Kings Square
3-6 August
Gloucester BID are bringing the mobile climbing wall to the city between the 3-6 August. Staffed by skilled climbers who will help and guide you as you get to the top, it's open between 10am-4pm and free!
Orchard St Food & Craft Market
5-6 August
Located at the stunning Gloucester Quays, the market offers a great mix of stalls! Come along, enjoy great food and drink, soak up the atmosphere of market day and meet our friendly, dedicated, and enthusiastic producers.
Peter Rabbit Outdoor Theatre Performance

Join Peter and his naughty cousin Benjamin at Llanthony Secunda Priory on their hair-raising adventures in Mr McGregor's garden in a delightful new adaptation of Beatrix Potter's much-loved Tales. Tickets are available to book now!
Did you know Beatrix Potter has a history with our wonderful city? You can visit the building that she illustrated as part of her book 'The Tailor of Gloucester' on College Court! Beatrix Potter's House of the Tailor of Gloucester charming shop and museum where you can enjoy viewing the tailor’s kitchen as well as a variety of displays which bring her favourite story to life.
Gloucester History Festival
2-17 September
Tickets are now on sale for the Gloucester History Festival which is taking place between 2-17 September with over 200 amazing tours, exhibitions and events for history-lovers of all ages. Join Britain's top historians for intriguing and entertaining talks at the magical Blackfriars Priory. Key speakers include Janina Ramirez, Michael Wood, Susie Dent, and many more!
