Cookies & Cupcakes – Christmas Creations

7 – 8 December

Get creative at the Museum with Christmas-themed decorations and learn fun techniques to decorate your own cakes and cookies. Best of all, you can take your delicious creations home! Drop in anytime and stay as long as you like. Suitable for ages 4 and up, with little ones welcome too. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.


Wreath Making Workshop

Create your own holiday magic at their wreath-making workshop! Join the Museum for an afternoon of festive fun as you craft a stunning, custom wreath from scratch. With plenty of fresh greens, ribbons, and seasonal touches to choose from, you'll design a one-of-a-kind wreath perfect for your front door—or as a special, handmade gift!

Get into the festive spirit with a creative Christmas crafting session! Design your own unique wrapping paper and gift tags using natural materials. You will be making custom stamps for block printing, including fun potato stamps, to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind wrapping paper and gift tags to take home. Drop in anytime, stay as long as you like, and craft something special for your holiday gifts!

For the history lovers, why not book onto a Behind the Scenes Tour? Join the Museum for an insightful and unique tour of the museum galleries and storage areas seldom seen at the Museum of Gloucester with the Collections Team. Your friendly and knowledgeable guide will show you many highlights in the collections including dinosaur fossils, a sword belonging to King Richard III and forgotten Roman remains…
