{Infinite} Unplugged | Humanhood

A mystical journey through the elements, where dance meets meditation. {Infinite} Unplugged is an intimate experience in a unique studio setting exposing the raw and dynamic choreography to the audience. Exploring movement and consciousness, becoming aware of the infinite power that flows to and through us, giving life to all beings at Gloucester Guildhall.


Character Tour of The Folk Of Gloucester

Multiple Dates

Meet the Folks costumed tour guides who represent actual people such as Bishop Hooper, who burned at the stake, and other characters connected to the buildings, two of which date from Tudor times. A listed historic building, the Folk offers you fascinating stories and gory tales while giving you a feel for how life was lived here over the past five centuries.


Ink Wells Creative Workshop

Seasonal Mini Yoga Retreat

07 February

Step into a world of peace and tranquillity at Blackfriars Priory for four rejuvenating mini retreats throughout the year, the first one happening on the 7 February! Nestled in the heart of Gloucester, this stunning 800-year-old medieval landmark offers the perfect setting to pause, unwind, and realign your mind and body with the changing seasons.


Premiership Rugby Match

07 February

There is a Premiership Rugby Cup Match (Round 5) at Kingsholm Stadium between Gloucester and Hartpury on the 07 February! There are still tickets left so don't miss your chance! 


Bright Nights: Twist & Shine

13 - 19 February

Twist and Shine by Kaleider is a beautiful landscape of interactive light sculptures. They are made out of interconnected prisms that can be twisted into thousands of different shapes. Come and move the light sculptures to create your own shapes. Every time a sculpture is changed, you take over from the people who have played before you. By transforming the shape, you change the landscape and add to the sculpture's story.


Gloucester Folk Trail

14 - 16 February

The Gloucester Folk Trail is an annual celebration of traditional folk music, dance, and arts. Attendees can look forward to live music, Morris dancing, workshops, and craft activities, all paying homage to traditional forms of folk entertainment. The festival is funded and supported by local businesses, venues, and the Gloucester Business Improvement District (BID).


Celebrating Gloucestershire: Photography Exhibition

15 - 27 February

As part of Gloucester Cathedral's activities this half term, local camera clubs from across the county will display photographs that showcase the beauty and diversity of Gloucestershire—spanning from Cheltenham to the Forest of Dean, and Stroud to Tyndale.


Longlevens Library - Essence of Love: Bath Oil Workshop

Medieval Mercenary Tour of the Eastgate Chamber

Join the Museum of Gloucester's Medieval Mercenary Sir Miles for a fascinating visit underground to the Eastgate chamber. Find out all about its history including the myths and superstitions surrounding it.


Celebrating Gloucestershire: Family Activities

19 - 20 February

Discover the heritage, culture and crafts of the wonderful county of Gloucestershire this Half Term at Gloucester Cathedral's family activity days. Please note there is no booking required to take part in our family activities. Donations to the Cathedral are welcome. These activities form part of the Cathedral's programme of events for A Celebration of Gloucestershire.


Heka

20 February

Heka (The Egyptian goddess of magic) invites spectators on a journey at Gloucester Guildhall where objects will materialise, vanish, levitate and transform before their eyes leading them to question: what is real and what is merely a trick of perception? Drawing inspiration from the intricate connection between juggling and magic, Heka transports audiences into a mesmerising realm where reality blurs with illusion.


Hamley's Prickly Problem and the Incredible Journey to Hedgehog Hospital

22 February

This half term, join The Folk of Gloucester for Hamley's Prickly Problem and the Incredible Journey to Hedgehog Hospital: a family-friendly shadow puppet show written by Gloucestershire playwright Carol Sheppard. Performances will be located in the Ed Shed at the back of the building. The cafe will be open throughout the day serving lunches, hot drinks and snacks.


Wedding Open Evening

27 February

Join Blackfriars Priory for an inspirational wedding open evening on Thursday, February 27th. Step into their stunning venue, explore the beautiful spaces and be inspired by the endless possibilities. The dedicated team will be available to discuss your vision and how they can help you take it to life.


Soup Theatre: Waiting for Samuel

28 February

Go along to The Folk of Gloucester for a bowl of soup and a show at lunchtime! Elizabeth Pepys is fully aware of her diary-keeping husband's dissolute doings in the fleshpots, theatres and coffee houses of Restoration London. While it took scholars many years to decipher the system of shorthand in which Samuel wrote his famous diaries, Elizabeth mastered the code from the beginning and has only to read last night's entry to find out what the dirty little devil was up to yesterday.
