Meet the author: Hayley Hoskins. Local author of 'The Whisperling' and 'The Whisperling Twins', ghost stories for children based on historical themes.

Learn what inspires Hayley's writing with readings and a Q&A opportunity at Gloucestershire Heritage Hub.

Suitable for children aged 8+ and their families. Advance booking required, please book a ticket for everyone attending.

Hosted by Gloucestershire Archives in partnership with Gloucestershire Libraries.


Join us from 13:00 - 16:00 at the Heritage Hub for 'Behind the themes' - A focus on the real-life stories of children's literature. Talk on the day include:

 

1.15 pm – 'The Darker Side of Nursery Rhymes' by Angela Dunsby
2.30 pm - Meet the Author: Hayley Hoskins

● Document display on the historical themes behind popular children's literature, taken from collections held at Gloucestershire Archives

● Information stands with advice from Library and Archive staff on reading and research

● Free refreshments throughout the afternoon & free parkin on site
