The Museum of Gloucester is a must see! Charting the history of Gloucester including Iron Age artifacts, a Roman kitchen, a medieval street scene and even part of the Eastgate wall built in the second century.

Nestled in the stunning Cathedral Court, The Tailor of Gloucester Beatrix Potter Museum & Shop, which inspired Beatrix Potter’s favourite tale is packed with nostalgic gifts. The charming museum is lined with glass cases containing beautiful memorabilia- a unique family day out.

Stroll to the Docks and visit The National Waterways Museum, housed in the old Victorian Llanthony Warehouse. Find out about one of the most inland docks in the country. Gloucester Docks is also home to the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, where you can take a look at army uniforms, peer into a First World War trench and learn about medals and how soldiers won them through history.

Take a trip to the Jet Age Museum where you’ll find a model of the Britain’s first jet which took off in 1941 at the Gloster Aircraft Factory runway at nearby Brockworth.

Being the world’s first museum and art gallery dedicated to art inspired by nature, Nature in Art holds an unrivalled collection of fine, decorative and applied art.
